This study, entitled : The Duality of Ego and the Other in Post-Colonial Discourse, ”the Constant Darkness by Amal Bouchareb, aimed as a model to reveal the conflict in the novel between the dualities resulting from colonialism, which is rooted in societies grounds, and in the particular the post-colonial third world society.

The approach adopted in the study is “cultural analysis”, where the problematic represents a discussion about the duality of the ego and the other in the post-colonial, Accordingly, will seek to answer the problematic of this research, as follows: How was the duality of the ego and the other manifested in the post-colonial discourse “The constant Darkness”?.
