The summary: The attitude of Mohamed Ikbal concerning the western thinking especially the modern one; forms one of the initial and principles which he builds his philosophy on.

and as it is known for those who study Mohamed Ikbal philosophy concerning western thinking, his attitude about the western thinking is critical attitude, he thinks that this thinking is built on materiality.

That is why it is a divesting of the modern and Muslim human, especially from one of the important aspect of his personal formation which is the spiritual aspect.

So, his life is crocked rather than straightened, and this is one of the important reasons which lead Mohamed Ikbal to take negative attitude about this thinking; making a lot of critics and which not stand in fixed point; sometimes he describes it as the material experimental thinking which misses the spiritual values.

And sometimes he describes it as the capitalist thinking which supports capitalism that practices the exploitation in its terrible forms and aspects against humanity.

And sometimes he describes it as the communist thinking which supports reliance and not facing the reality.

we will try in this article to determine the point of view of Ikbal about this thought which dominated on an important period from European history.

And it had ramifications that its effects still spread until now.

And to know the point of view of Ikbal; we tried to take some models from that thought (DESCARTES, KANT, HEGEL).

In the end of the article, we will go to speak about the effect of that philosophy on the Islamic personality.

So, the problematic which we will solve in that article will be as following: what is the point of view of Ikbal about the modern western thought and what is its effect on the Islamic personality structure?.
