The importance of research lies in identifying the spirit of challenge by going to competition and then finding a relationship between the spirit of challenge and the results of the competitions among the young players in Baghdad clubs in the sport of bow and arrow.

the researchers used the descriptive approach of the link study on a sample selected in the intentional way to represent (26) rami with bows and arrow category juniors and participants in the annual Iraqi championship of the season 2019 representing Iraqi club players (100%.(use the measure of the spirit of challenge and orientation towards competition and the results of the competitions were obtained for young players from the jury of the central union of bows and arrows.

the results of the competitions were calculated, and after the data was collected they were statistically processed the researchers concluded that the research sample has a highly challenging spirit and a trend towards competition in bow and arrow sport and has to do with the results of competitions in bow and arrow sport.

in light of the results reached, attention to psychological variables is recommended as a spirit of challenge towards competition because of its importance in the results of the throwing competitions.
