The research aims to implement a form of epistemological research and reading in the context of poetry criticism of al-Shamshati (died in the fourth century AH) in his book al-Anwar and the advantages of poetry, according to the descriptive approach.

poetics based on this epistemological basis as well as a complementary-critical follower of it that in its most prominent manifestations revealed the nature of the cognitive rooting of poetic texts by following some methods and procedures within a verified document of the fourth century AH.
