Abstract EN

This study aims ay identifying the attitudes of palestinian journalists towards using modern technology techniques to verify information through digital media, and, and the extent to which palestinian journalists conform to these modern technologies to verify information obtained from digital media.

this study is a descriptive research in which the media survey method was used, and in its framework the method of surveying media practices method was employed.

the study depended on three theories which are : media reliance, prioritization and the mass communicator.

data were collected by a questionnaire and in-depth interview with a sample available specialists in questionnaire sample to random sample of (253) individuals of the practicing palestinian journalists residing in the governorates of the Gaza strip, during the time period between 13 / 7 / 2021ad until 10/ 8 / 2021 ad.

the most important findings of the study, the degree to which palestinian journalists' use the techniques of information verification in journalistic work ranked first with a percentage of 34.9%, and news ranked first as the most used field by palestinian journalists in verifying information through digital media during journalistic work, with a percentage of 89.4%, and the most important motives behind journalists' use of information verification techniques in journalistic work is to gain experience which had a percentage of 89.4% in the first place.

the most important recommendations of the study : journalists' should conform to information verification techniques adequately in journalistic work, which contributes to the dissemination of accurate and sound information through various media, working on developing the field of information verification techniques in the palestinian media through developing the competencies of palestinian journalists.
