Abstract EN

This research is listed within approximating cover threshold in contemporary criticism, and the sample was the Iraqi academic effort.

This study is divided into standing around the cover threshold and its contents ( image, title, writer's name, publishing house, type of writing, painting, colours) and then around the mechanism of critical procedure and the effect of this term in the efforts of Iraqi researchers.

Gerard Gentte's book, Seuils is one of the most important books which is used by the researcher as a reliable source in studying the effect of this term in the contemporary academic efforts.

Actually, the researchers' studies are dissimilar in tackling the cover threshold concerning plastic and photographic covers in particular.

This study records considerable advantage in the adoption of plastic covers.

This shows the closest connection of the artistic paintings with the content as the researcher argues.

The plastic cover must be more artistic and expressive to highlight creativity as well as to give the author an adequate opportunity to express what revolves in his mind.
