Abstract EN

This study aims to investigate how central banks faced the repercussions of the Corona pandemic by identifying the in addition, the actions taken by central banks to tackle the Corona crisis.

The study concluded that different actions have been taken by the international banks.

Some banks reduced the interest rates whereas other banks adopted zero and negative interest rates with quantitative management to provide cash directly into the banking system.

The actions that have been taken by the Bank of Algeria led to an increase in the monetary mass that helped in supporting the economy to mitigate the repercussions of the Corona crisis.
