and European oil companies as a petroleum and gas pole, for the United States of America, Algeria is one of the most important "safe" oil sources, which are alternative to those "unsafe" in the Middle East, and one of the most important areas to diversify future oil imports, on the other hand; Algeria is seen as a natural partner of the European Union, which seeks to diversify its energy supplies sources, searching alternatives to exiting of the Russian gas dependency, this has led to an escalation of the American-European competition on the Algerian energy market, this study aims at finding the dimensions of this competition and its impact on the Algerian economy.
