The aim of the research is to identify the effect of the teaching method solving the problem of divergent thinking in learning the skills of receiving transmission and preparing for volleyball.

The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad in a deliberate manner, and the number of students in it was (160) students.

The two divisions (A - B) were chosen randomly and numbered (40) students and divided them into two groups (control and experimental) also in a random way so that Division (A) became the experimental group And Division (B) the control group, and thus the number of each group became (20) students, and thus the proportion of the sample from the research community reached (25% ).

The plane, and the skills that are difficult to implement, including receiving transmission and numbers, require correct thinking and cooperation between colleagues to address implementation through consultation to solve the problem of kinetic performance and fluidity in implementation And he recommended the adoption of the teaching method (problem solving) for divergent thinking in learning the two skills of receiving transmissions and preparing for volleyball for students of the first stage in the faculties of physical education and sports sciences, and the necessity of emphasizing the implementation of difficult skills, including receiving transmissions and numbers, which require correct thinking is done through cooperation between colleagues to address Implementation through consultation solving problems they face in implementing the two skills
