These forms of violence reached their climax during two world wars that embody the will of domination and subjugation of many peoples.

It is violence that reason, which is the limitation, cannot comprehend or prevent.

Rather, it may be the mind itself, with its sayings, the reason for it.

The result is that Levinas establishes a relationship with the other not based on knowledge as much as it is based on responding to the call of the other.

Which means that ethics is able to reach another goal of reasonableness and another way of loving wisdom
