Some think that the fingerprint is the fingerprint only, which contributes greatly to the detection of the perpetrators when they commit their crimes, but the verification of their identity can be done through a group of members of the human body that leaves a signature for its owner and distinguishes him from others and has connotations in the criminal field.

These are called modern fingerprints and include Ear prints, tongue, teeth, hair, genetics and others.

And the research problem lies in trying to answer the main question: What are the traditional and new fingerprints used in criminal evidence? This study aimed to shed light on the traditional fingerprints and the new types of fingerprints used in criminal evidence.

The study concluded with results, the most important of which are: that the newly developed fingerprints such as eye, voice, smell and other fingerprints are among the modern and accurate techniques that help prevent crime before it occurs, and work accurately to identify the perpetrators, and genetic fingerprinting (DNA fingerprint) is one of the best methods And the most accurate in identifying criminals at the present time.

The most important recommendations: Judicial legislation should include an explicit and clear text that stipulates the value of the fingerprints created in the field of criminal evidence, and it is necessary to rely on the development of genetic fingerprint analyzes in criminal evidence because of their importance in the field of criminal sciences, investigations and evidence.

The Department of Forensic Evidence Laboratories must provide all the necessary modern devices and equipment, and scientific courses for its members to facilitate the process of dealing with fingerprints created at crime scenes.
