Abstract EN

The tracer of theatre’s path through successive periods of time clearly notices that it was and is still subject to experimentation and renewing, and it will not stop as long as the human world exists.

it should be noted that in the twentieth century theatre witnessed a wide deep movement which touched all its elements, especially at the level of performance.

this is what led to the appearance of many different directing approaches such as the poor theatre approach.

in this article, we will try to focus on the principles and characteristics of this approach, and then deal with a model from Algerian theatrical experiments which tried to adopt the grotowski’s style as a style that requires high concentration and rather hard training since it depends on movement, mime, corporal formations, gesture and dance.

a thoughtful investigation within theatre course through successive periods of time clearly reveals that it was and is still subject to experimentation and renewal, and it will not stop as long as mankind exists.

it should be noted that in the twentieth century, theatre witnessed a pertinent development that spanned different forms mainly especially at the level of performance.

thus, it led to the emergence of many different directing curricula, the most important of which is the poor theatre curriculum.
