During the mid-19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, the world witnessed a colonial movement and many regional wars that led to the transfer of many artifacts from their original homes.

through this study, we will try to address a part of the archaeological artifacts transferred from Algeria during the French occupation, specifically those that were transferred from the city of Tlemcen to Annecy in France by the officer Eugene levet during his stay in this city.

this study aims to find the way to retrieve those archaeological artifacts by means of evidence of their presence in the Annecy city museum, and according to the 1968 agreement between Algeria and France that Algeria has joined for that very reason.
