Theatrical art in Algeria was known lately as it suffers in its beginning from formation’s problems and lack of specialists.

and the Algerian experience was from its beginning trying to keep up with the modern directing schools but the difficult circumstances that the country went through in particular the cultural aspect after the independence which went through periods of crises recession and lack of production, changed recently and knew general development in show elements.

thus, this practical study discuss the most important theatrical performances in the last ten years, confirmed the openning of the Algerian theatre to the new directing streams with its diversity particularly preserving the theatrical producing techniques for each stream with its theories, which proves the ability of the Algerian director today of managing to meet and realise the international theatrical directing standars, it also denies the existence of theatrical intellectual crises, and considers the other directing experiences facing overlapping trends, which is only the result of a search for an authentic Algerian theater.
