In the framework of archaeological and historical studies devoted to supporting, valuing and preserving the Algerian architectural heritage, it is worth mentioning the importance of Orientalist painting and its documentation after it as a fatty material that can be used in restoring memory and resurrecting Algerian cultural features that French colonization deliberately obliterated, while stressing the necessity of sifting them from the impurities of Orientalist ideologies.

From a sociological perspective, one of the soft Western tools that contributed to the study and documentation of Eastern life in order to serve the colonial policy as well as the aesthetic dimension and influenced by the magic of the East and exoticism, and clarify the quasi-factors The disappearance of the architectural heritage in Algeria, the circumstances and the reasons for the orientation of the orientalist painters to write it down.
