Abstract EN

This study aims to clarify the extent of the influence of the composition and components of Turkish society on the decision-making process at the external level.

the problem of the study revolved around the following main question: what are the limits of the impact of the composition of Turkish society on Turkish foreign policy? and to what extent were minorities a factor affecting the course of Turkish foreign policy towards the Arab region? the hypothesis of the study indicated that the ethnic and religious diversity of Turkish society formed a controlling and constraining factor for Turkish foreign policy at the same time.

in order to verify the validity of the hypothesis and to answer the study questions, the historical method, the case study method, and the analytical method were employed.

the study concluded that ethnic and religious diversity and pluralism in the Turkish society constitute a constraining and controlling factor for the Turkish foreign policy, especially towards the neighboring Arab countries represented by Syria and Iraq, and this was evident during the situation.
