The study aimed to highlight and analyze the efforts made by the Algerian government to reduce the problem of waste by developing policies and programs to apply the principles of circular economy, where waste has no place, and works on comprehensive and sustainable development to protect the environment and resources as a whole, on the one hand, and create additional economic wealth and An attempt was made to demonstrate the experiences of economic institutions encouraged by the government to invest in recycling waste paper, plastic and used industrial oils.

The results showed that Algeria was still unable to implement the principles of circular economy and investment in waste recycling despite efforts, especially in the area of recycling used industrial oils because it required high technology and large capital.
