Sport tourism is considered one of the most important types of tourism that contribute effectively to stimulating the movement of tourism, whether internal or external, and thus raising the level of the national economy through the establishment of tournaments and sports competitions, to attract large numbers of tourists for the purpose of negative or positive participation in these events or sports tournaments.

This study aims to introduce sport tourism in general, and to know the impact of sport tourism on sustainable development, by focusing on the role of this type of tourism in supporting both the economic dimension, the socio-cultural dimension as well as the environmental dimension of sustainable tourism development.

The study concluded that sport tourism is a good choice for countries and can be adopted in order to stimulate dynamism in economic activity, support values and constants and increase social convergence, in addition to maintaining the balance of the ecosystem.
