Abstract EN

This paper is an attempt to summarize and highlight the most important views, and the different views that some thinkers such as: «Hannah Arndat» and «Nancy Fraser» on the concept of bourgeois public space, formulated by the German philosopher «Jurgen Habermas».

So the aim of this research is to present a range of ideas and perceptions that serve as a true intellectual reference on the subject of bourgeois public space, thus further enriching the debate on it in the future.

Especially in the light of the social and technological developments that characterize modern times.

This is through a review of a range of views and positions that showing that the idealism of debate and rational debate is based on democracy, and freedom of opinion and expression, the right of veto and accountability, who was shaped by clubs and public arenas in modern Europe as conceived by «Habermas».

But there was a number of obvious shortcomings and shortcomings amount to contradiction, especially when it comes to equality and representative participation, which have been confined to the male bourgeois class.

Which has led the two Americans thinkers to call for a review of the idealism of political debate in particular, and of bourgeois public space in general, especially in the light of the challenges that have been imposed on public space at present, particularly after the decline in State authority over its territory, and in the midst of the erosion of the territorial boundaries of States in the context of openness and cultural and political integration, brought by means of globalization as a result of the tremendous development of information and communication technology.
