Abstract EN

This study deals with a critical reading of the outcome of the scientific researches in the field of information and communication from the methodological and transferable references perspective that establishes these researches, which fall mainly within the framework of the quantitative and qualitative studies.

The latter has been limited to the field of new media as a research field that has gained an increasing interest in the recent times and poses many problems at all levels, especially what is related to the nature of the study, quantitative, qualitative.

The method used as well as the research tools, and the appropriateness of each one «methodological steps», this is from a methodological perspective.

Whereas, the theoretical perspective is related to the extent to which the theoretical heritage is related and consistent with the subject of the study.

The scientific research under the critical study is represented in a sample of master>s and doctoral theses at the Algerian University.
