Abstract EN

The presented study was carried out to identify the most important fungi accompanying the books in the library of the Faculty of Arcgeology in the Department of Maintenance and Restoration at Samarra University.

As the fungal species were isolated from the books that showed signs of biological damage from spots change in the color of the books and the presence of fungal growth on them.

Five samples were included in the study.

The study showed that Aspergillus was the most common fungus with varying proportions followed by Penicillim.
