Much ado about the issue of heritage in our time, and occupied the minds of old and modern thinkers، This study was to shed light on the most important obstacles that prevented the revision of our heritage, as well as to set some theoretical rules for dealing with the Islamic heritage, and the plan of this research came as follows :: Introduction: the importance of research and the reasons for choosing it, the objectives of the research, the problem of research and its questions The first topic: the definition of heritage and its concept, and under it several demands : The first requirement: the concept of heritage in language, the second requirement: the concept of heritage in terminology, the third requirement: heritage in the Quranic concept, the fourth requirement: heritage in the prophetic concept, the fifth requirement: the semantic field of the term "heritage" in Arab and Islamic thought, and the sixth requirement: the term heritage in Western civilization .

Then the second topic: heritage and revelation.

It includes the following demands : The first requirement: the current that heritage should be separated from Revelation, the second requirement: the current that heritage should not be separated from Revelation, and the third requirement: the difference between Islamic thought (as heritage) and divine revelation.
