Abstract EN

This research discusses the objectives of Sharia (Law of Islam) that the Legislator wanted to be considered in the Hajj (pilgrimage) obligation, and which have an effect on some jurisprudential rulings and the manner of their performance.

It was evident that the objectives related to the Hajj to the Holy Mosque in Makkah include a set of objectives.

They include general objectives that include a group of chapters of Sharia, such as maintaining monotheism, the objective of submitting to the Law of Islam, and the objective to contradict the infidels.

They also include the special objectives related to the Hajj, such as the objective of reminding Moslims of the Day of Judgement; the intimate meeting of Muslims, and achieving worldly benefits.

Moreover, they include partial objectives related to the provisions of the Hajj, such as those related to the Miqats (the pilgrimage boundaries), the objectives of the taboos of Ihram (prescribed Hajj attire), the objectives of the Talbiyah (speaking out the intention of the pilgrim to perform the Hajj) , and others.
