Abstract EN

Following the twelve innocent Imams after the prophet is one of Shia′ idea and preferences and they believe in an eminent place for this idea.

Recognizing Imam and following him play an important role in Shia religion and Shia scholars have paid too much attention to it since the past.

However the prophet emphasized too much on recognizing and following the Imams of Shia, it was misunderstood several times by the companions and Shia during the history and the negative effects of unrecognition and unpunctual help caused problems for them.

We surveyed the losses of unrecognizing Imams by Shia and its reasons in this research.

At the first era of Islam, the Shia faced many problems due to the different reasons like: unrecognizing the features of Imams, reservation, tension and tyranny made by the present governments, being faraway and late informing, being prevaricators who claimed Imamate and doubts made by the adversaries of Imamate.

All these losses caused the people not to know the true Imams.

It is necessary to mention that some Shia were unanimous in recognizing the Imams so not all of Shia faced the problems and went astray of the true Imams.

Regarding the adversaries of Ahlulbyet religion especially Wahhabi have tried recently by means of these tiny losses to show that the idea of Shia in following the Imamate has been made by the recent scholars, it is necessary to survey this matter precisely and proved that these losses will not leave any bad effects to the idea of following the twelve Imams.
