Abstract EN

Human perception of life has been one of the concerns of human societies over the recent decades.

The works of prominent and inspiring thinkers such as Rumi have been recognized as sources that can give us an insight into this mater.

Love (which is a key word in Rumi's teachings) has always been one of the factors that has deeply affected the perceptions and actions of humans in different historical periods and communities.

In the present study attempts are made to explore the impact of love on perception of life from the viewpoint of Rumi.

The present research falls within the category of descriptive-analytical studies.

According to the research findings, all beings in the universe are interrelated through a link that originates from love and Human life is not an exception in this regard.

True love is characterized by an attractive force that draws people towards itself and this affinity is the factor that gives meaning to lovers’ life; a life that revolves around the beloved and his desires.

Virtual love can also be characterized by such attributes.

According to Rumi's intellectual system, some other factors that are closely interwoven with love as the pivotal factor can also give meaning to life.

These factors include belief in God, perfectionism, death awareness, sincerity, pleasure and suffering, learning and loyalty.
