Abstract EN

Due to the existence of Mandaeans in parts of Khuzestan in Iran and Iraq from ancient times, whose activities are mainly focused on trading and selling gold and important economic projects, on the other hand, the existence of different religions in relation to them, the purpose of this study is to get acquainted with the ruling of Islam and the views of Sunni and Shiite jurists and scholars, and briefly some thinkers of Judaism and Christianity about the monotheism of the Sabians and how to collect information is library method and descriptive-analytical study, achieving an accurate knowledge about of the religious truth and the sharia law of the followers of this nation; although scholarly articles and books designate to the monotheism of the Sabean religion by scattered references, in terms of those possessing bibles, but the present study reflects the prevailing views of Muslim jurists, thinkers, commentators, scholars and historians of Islam as well as the theories of Jewish and Christian thinkers about the monotheism of the Sabians.

The views of Muslim jurists and historians were also expressed, who had many disagreements about whether those possessing bibles or pseudo- possessing bibles, as well as taking Jizyah.

Shafi'i jurists were most opposed to this people; Hanafi and Shiite jurists, on the other hand, have had positive views regarding what has been said about this people in the Holy Qur'an, to the extent that they consider and recognized this religion as a religions that has the right to support Muslims and to live freely and peacefully among them.
