The aim of the research is to identify the degree of awareness of the Corona pandemic among mentally disabled children.

and verify the effectiveness of a program based on enhancing family participation in the development of the corona pandemic awareness among mentally disabled children, verify the effectiveness of a program based on enhancing family participation in developing the self-management skills of mentally disabled children, verify the continued effectiveness of a program based on enhancing family participation after a period of time in the development of the Corona pandemic awareness among mentally disabled children and to verify the continued effectiveness of a program based on enhancing family participation after a period of time in developing the self-management skills of mentally disabled children.

Research tools included the Corona Pandemic Awareness Scale for Mentally Disabled Children, the Self-Management Skills Scale for Mentally Disabled Educated Children, the case study form for mentally disabled children, and a program based on enhancing family participation to develop an awareness of the Corona pandemic and the self-management skills of mentally disabled children.

(All prepared by the researcher).

The research sample consisted of 10 children enrolled in the School of Intellectual Education, their age rate is from 8 years to 12 years, and their mental age is from 4 to 7 years.

The researcher used the semi-experimental approach, with one experimental group.

The results of the research found the effectiveness of a program based on enhancing family participation in the development of the awareness of the Corona pandemic (cognitive, behavioral, and emotional aspects).

its continued effectiveness after a period of time, the effectiveness of a program based on enhancing family participation in the development of self-management skills (Self-monitoring, self-assessment, self-enhancement, and self-guidance), and its continued effectiveness after a period of time
