Abstract EN

Studying the phenomenon of bullying and investigating the related variables is important for those in charge of the learning process.

Therefore, the present research aimed at construct a causal model that illustrates the nature of relationships and the direct and indirect influences between bullying behavior and both of spiritual intelligence and psychosocial hardiness.

The sample of the study consisted of (445) students, enrolled in the Faculty of Education, Al-Azhar university, Cairo.

Participants responded to three measures (spiritual intelligence, psychological hardiness and bullying behavior).

The results found that the proposed model (a) is more fit than the model (b), with the study data.

And there was statistically significant negative indirect effect between spiritual intelligence and bullying behavior, Through psychological hardiness as an mediator variable.

The results showed, also, that there was no statistically significant direct effect between spiritual intelligence and bullying behavior, and there was a statistically significant direct effect between psychological hardiness and bullying behavior.

The research recommended taking into account the mediating role of psychological hardiness when building educational programs and strategies based on spiritual intelligence in order to reduce bullying behavior.
