The research aimed to know the effectiveness of a proposed strategy based on activating memory processes in developing the skills of memorizing the Holy Qur’an and reducing recitation anxiety among first-year high school students.

The study tools consisted of observation card for the skills of memorizing the Holy Quran, and the recitation anxiety scale for first year secondary school students and The research sample consisted of (70) first-grade students, divided into two groups: experimental and control.

The results reached the effectiveness of the proposed strategy based on activating memory processes in developing the skills of memorizing the Holy Quran and reducing recitation anxiety and There was a statistically significant negative relationship between the skills of memorizing the Holy Quran and the anxiety of recitation among the students of the experimental group.
