Abstract EN

The research aims to get acquainted with the design of a program of rehabilitative exercises and therapeutic massage to improve the efficiency of the work of the seventh nerve for patients with facial paralysis while regaining the functional efficiency of the group of the affected muscle of the face .

The researcher assumed that there is a positive effect and a statistical indication in improving the efficiency of the injured seventh nerve, and restoring the facial expressions when performing a program of rehabilitative exercises and therapeutic massage.

The researcher used the experimental method with a pre-post measurement design for two groups, one experimental and the other control.

The researcher chose the community by an intentional method from males with facial paralysis of the second degree, and their number reached (10) injured, the application took four weeks with (4) sessions per week with a total of (16) sessions in the specified period of time, and the degree of pain and the number of Repetitions and gradations from easy to difficult and simple to compound.

The researcher concluded that the program of rehabilitative exercises and therapeutic massage has an effect on improving the efficiency of the work of the seventh nerve for people with facial paralysis while restoring the efficiency of the facial muscles affected by the injury.

In light of the results that have been concluded and within the limits of the field of study sample, the researcher recommends the following : 1 Application and generalization of the proposed program on patients with facial paralysis due to its positive functional and physiological impact.

2 Establishing treatment programs based on movement variables as an indicator to develop the level and improve functional efficiency to rehabilitate facial paralysis.
