Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the level of bullying behavior towards students with intellectual disabilities by their peers and its relationship with the variables of being in a primary or an intermediate school, as well as with sex (male-female).this topic has been studied from the point of view of the teachers concerned in the Jazan region.

the study has used the descriptive approach where the researcher has designed a 34-word study tool, divided into two axes.

the study sample covered (109) teachers of intellectual disabilities students for both (primary / intermediate)schools.

the outcomes of the study were as follows : -absence of statistically significant differences at the level of statistical significance (0.05 = α) between the responses of the sample study on the level of bullying behavior towards pupils with intellectual disabilities by their peers due to the variable of school in which the sample members work (primary-intermediate).

-there are no statistically significant differences at the level of statistical significance (0.05 = α) between the responses of the study sample on the level of bullying behavior towards pupils with intellectual disabilities by their peers, due to the variable of sex (male-female).

the current research recommends conducting a study that addresses the level of teachers’ awareness of the aspects of bullying behavior and the most important obstacles faced by teachers in dealing with students who bully peers with intellectual disabilities, as well as conducting another study, similar to this one, at the secondary schools in which students with intellectual disabilities are mainstreamed.
