The aim of the current research is to identify the role of social factors in delinquency from the point of view of juvenile delinquents themselves, and this research has been applied to a sample of juvenile delinquents held in Basra Central Prison, which number (30) juvenile delinquents (males and females), and the results showed: 1- There is a role for social factors in shaping juvenile delinquent behavior.

2- Theft comes in the first place among juvenile crimes.

It was committed by (14) juveniles out of a total of (30) and by (46.66% ).

3- There are statistically significant differences between males and females in favor of males.

4- The results showed that the highest percentage of juveniles were illiterate, as their number reached (10), and the percentage was (33, 33% )
