Abstract EN

This research examine the possibility of internationalize the Assassination crimes, which is regards as an internal offense, regardless of the perpetrators or victims.

But in reality this crime is a murder crime which violate the right of life, and the establishing of (STL) paved the way to internationalization of this crime and punish it`s perpetrators in front of international court.

In this context, this research sheds light on this crime by following the descriptive approach; we try to characterize this crime and define it nationally and internationally and classify it as a crime in violation of a basic human right.

And wondering is it possible that this crime has an international element or not? We have taken the Special Tribunal for Lebanon as a vital example and an auxiliary factor in the internationalization of this crime.

We have concluded that the assassination is a premeditated murder and a violation of a fundamental human right, this phenomenon is growing under democratic regimes.

The establishment of a special tribunal by the Security Council has restricted a legal precedent in the internationalization of this crime and that any assassination committed in any State and against any particular person or group must be held accountable internationally.

we recommend that this crime should be considered as an international crime and included in the jurisdiction of an international tribunal.
