Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify the relationship between the habits of reason and achievement in the biology of fifth-grade students in the biology in the city of Mosul, and to verify the goal of the research.

The researcher used (two) null hypotheses, and the researcher used the relational descriptive approach, and the study sample consisted of (331) female students of the fifth grade of biology for the academic year (2020-2021).

As the sample was intentionally chosen from the research community in preparatory schools in the city center of Mosul, and to achieve the goal of the research and its hypotheses, the researcher used the following tools : 1 - The habits test of the mind developed by the researcher from (Afaneh, 2013) 2- Achievement test taken from students' grades for biology for the first course of the academic year (2020-2021).

After the researchers made sure of the validity and consistency to test the habits of the mind and presented it to a group of experts that were ready for application, the researchers applied the tool electronically on the sample on (2-2-2021) and the application ended on (3-14-2021) after collecting the data and analyzing it statistically.

The following results were shown: 1 - There is no statistically significant difference between the biological performance of fifth-grade students on the habits of mind test and the hypothetical mean of the test.

2 – There is a significant correlation between testing the habits of mind and achievement in biology syllabus among the fifth graders of the biological students.
