Abstract EN

In spite of the emergence of many books that reviewed political parties in the United States of America, including the whig Party and its political role in the United States of America, the Iraqi library lacked an academic study on the subject, and this was another motivation for choosing the topic of the thesis, as well as not the unavailability of a prior of a study of the party and its coverage from all sides, especially the statement of the party’s position on political and economic events such as the annexation of Texas in 1845, the adoption of the customs tariff and the American war on Mexico 1846-1848.
