Abstract EN

European countries began the slave trade after the movement of geographical discoveries, and Portugal came at the forefront of these countries, that trade that halted the growth of the civilized continent of Africa, spoiled its social fabric and created in its people a complex of inferiority, the African slave trade became a matter of great importance in building the empires of colonial countries and the production of the wealth that later blew up the industrial revolution, the triangular trade which formed a periodic exchange of goods and people between Europe, West Africa and the Americas; As the colonists exported raw goods to Britain where they were processed and made finished goods, which were traded with West Africa, which in turn was sending slaves to the English colonies specially in north america, Africans were captured as slaves and forced to make the journey from Africa to North America, stacked on board, close to as much as possible to obtain the greater number of slaves, especially since half of them were expected to die before reaching their destination.

African slaves suffered the most in the British colonies, especially in North America, and were they deprived of all social, political and educational rights in the British colonies; Therefore, slave rebellions began against their low conditions, and voices calling for freedom rose up, especially under shadow of the independence of the American states, which began issuing decrees about the abolition of the slave trade and their liberation until 1808 as a result of that condition there was an increase of the number of free Africans who constituted a burden on American society, so the united states of America¢s farmers sought of getting rid of them, some Americans believe that the white and black races could not live together in peace; Therefore, the American Colonization Society was established in Washington on December 21, 1816, which undertook the transfer, deportation and resettlement of free Africans to West Africa, thus establishing the state of Liberia.
