Abstract EN

This statement is a statement of the impact of diversification on the growth of the Iraqi economy, using the methodology of self and long regression between the variables of economic growth expressed in GDP at constant prices and the diversification expressed by the contribution of the industrial and employment sectors using the methodology of self-regression.

The results resulted in a long-term relationship between diversification and economic growth with a negative correction coefficient of (-0.53) in order to return to the equilibrium situation from the short term to the long term, in addition to the effect of the industrial sector was positive on economic growth.

They have a negative effect in the long term.

The research reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which is that the industrial sector represents the most prominent sector in achieving economic diversification, and the weakness of the service and agricultural sectors in achieving economic diversification in the long term, while the recommendations focused on giving the industrial sectors, especially the manufacturing industry, an important position and better care for its advancement and development again.
