Abstract EN

The present study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a Cognitive Behavioral Program in reducing psychological alienation of preparatory stage students with learning disabilities.

The study sample consisted of (24) first and second grade preparatory stage students with learning disabilities in Shehata khafagy School in Al Gamalia, Dakahlia Governorate divided into two equivalent groups: Experimental and control.

Study instruments implied a Scale of Psychological Alienation and a Cognitive Behavioral Program (prepared by the researcher).

The study results revealed statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the experimental and control groups in the post test on the Scale of Psychological Alienation in favor of the control group.

The study results also revealed statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the experimental group in the pre and post tests on the Scale of Psychological Alienation in favor of the pretest.

Whereas The study results revealed no statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the experimental group in the post and follow up tests on the Scale of Psychological Alienation.

The results showed high effect size of the Cognitive Behavioral Program in reducing psychological alienation of the experimental group as well.

The researcher recommended using the Cognitive Behavioral Program used in the present study for reducing feeling of psychological alienation in preparatory stage students with learning disabilities.
