Terrorist attacks have become more and more common on the African continent.

However, there are certain parts of the continent - North, East and West Africa-that are more frequent locations of terrorist attacks than others are.

The study focuses on the role of the United Nations Organization and ECOWAS in combating terrorism in the Sahel region.

The study concludes that the inability of African countries to confront terrorism on their own has led to the intervention of the international organization, which has become inevitable.

However, international organizations are still unable to provide radical solutions to the problem of terrorism in light of the spread and complexity of the phenomenon, as well as the deteriorating conditions of African countries themselves.
