Abstract EN

The current study aimed to verify the effectiveness of a training program to develop counseling skills among educational counselors in the schools of Karak Governorate in Jordan, and in order to achieve the objectives of the study, a sample of educational counselors in Karak governorate was selected.

The number of its members is (12) male and female instructors, and a control group and the number of its members reached (12) male and female mentors.

A measure of counseling skills has been prepared, and its psychometric properties have been verified with validity and consistency.

The experimental group, the results of the study concluded that the mentors members of the experimental group were able to possess better counseling skills than the members of the control group after a telemetry, and the results also found that the members of the experimental group retained the effect in the long term, and the results came out.

With a number of recommendations, the most important of which is the use of the training program to help mentors develop their counseling skills.
