The research paper aims to study the population of Sinai; In terms of their ethnic origin, areas of settlement, and their religious beliefs that indicate their ethnic origins, and their ethnic relationship with the surrounding areas, during the period extending from the fifth century BC until 106 when the Romans destroyed the Nabataean kingdom and turned it into the Roman state of Arabia, This is the reason for choosing the title of this paper to try to reveal the ethnic origins of the population during the first millennium BC.

The researcher faced great difficulty in this subject; Due to the scarcity of archaeological and written sources during the study period, which indicate this point; Therefore, the researcher resorted to the sources that dealt with the Sinai region and the surrounding areas before the study period, especially the eastern side, and then building on them and extrapolating the extent to which they are tributaries, providing Sinai with population throughout its long history.
