Abstract EN

The journalistic material constitutes an important source in modern and contemporary history because of the facts it bears that represent a basic foundation for that history, since the newspaper is always the closest to many historical events, as well as its ability to trace the course of those events, analyze and anticipate their results.

Hence, the problem of research through a study of one of the newspapers issued in Iraq, specifically in the Mosul Brigade during the Second World War (1939-1945).

The importance of the research lies in clarifying the nature and trends of the Iraqi newspapers in the mentioned period, and whether these newspapers were neutral in their tracking of events, or did they reflect the orientation of the government or a particular party, which affects the degree of credibility of the Iraqi press and its attitude towards global events, as will be explained in the research by tracing the publications and publications of one of the Mosuli newspapers, "Nasir Al-Haq", which was published in the Mosul Brigade and the echoes of the Second World War through its pages, as well as shedding light on each of the parties to that war and analyzing its course for each of them.

The structure of the research included dividing it into an introduction, three main paragraphs and a conclusion, where the first paragraph discusses the emergence and development of the Mosuli press, while the second paragraph discusses the emergence of Nasir al-Haq newspaper in Mosul, and the main paragraph that deals with the core of the research.

It talks about the position of Nasir Al-Haq newspaper from the parties to the conflict in the Second World War and its vision of the course of events, so the conclusion came to reflect a focused view of the progress of this newspaper through the research vocabulary.
