Abstract EN

In the years 1980-1987, Egypt witnessed remarkable developments in all aspects of social life in Egypt, especially in education, as the Egyptian government focused on pre-university education represented in primary, preparatory and secondary education, as well as vocational education in all its branches.

As education is one of the most important pillars of comprehensive development, the Egyptian government is keen to allocate not a small amount of its budget to spend on education, as education in Egypt is one of the most controversial societal issues for its social repercussions, so education was the cornerstone of the development program that it adopted.

The Egyptian education, despite all the developments it has now, in Egypt has suffered from many problems, especially the problem of illiteracy and students dropping out of school, which is one of the biggest obstacles in the way of development, and it is not possible to keep pace with development and modernity without eliminating illiteracy.

The most important problems that Egypt faces, indeed the most dangerous, is due to the civilized image of the society in which the advanced illiteracy rate among its members is measured.
