Abstract EN

The Literary Reports (Al AKhbar) of the thieves, as one of the old Arabic narrative types, had been transmitted orally, through a series of narrators, narrated from generation to generation, as other literary & historical reports, in general.

This brings us to question about the level of its narrative.

Who tells the story? Are the general public or the thief himself or both? This research tries to reveal the method that provided by the narrator in Al AKhbar of the thieves.

So accordingly to this, the search of the level of the narrative, will refers us to analysis it, according to one of the three categories that interested in revealing the narrative techniques; (the voice, the mood and the time), identified by Gérard Genette in his book " Narrative Discourse", that is the voice.
