This study aimed at identifying the level of multiple intelligences and its correlation to academic achievement amongst secondary school students in Amman.
the sample consisted of (n=523) male and female students was selected by proportional stratified sampling method from secondary private school students in the university directorate of education for the academic year 2017/2018.
the tool was prepared and applied; consisting of eight dimensions in its final form after verifying its psychometric characteristics.
the results showed that the level of multiple intelligences among students was between moderate and low levels according to the following order: interpersonal, bodily-kinesthetic, musical, logical- mathematical, linguistic, intrapersonal, spatial and naturalist.
results showed that there were statistically significant differences attributed to the gender in (linguistic, spatial, interpersonal, bodily-kinesthetic, interapersonal).
results also showed that there were statistically significant differences attributed to the academic branch in (logicalmathematical and bodily-kinesthetic).
results also showed that there were a strong positive correlation between (linguistic, logical-mathematical) and academic achievement, moreover, there was a weak positive correlation between spatial intelligence and academic achievement, and there is a negative correlation between bodily-kinesthetic intelligence and academic achievement.
in addition, there was no statistically significant correlation between (musical, intrapersonal, interpersonal, naturalist) and academic achievement.
