Abstract EN

The study aimed to find out the effect of the concept maps strategy on the academic achievement of mathematics among second-grade students at the secondary stage, and the target community for the study are second-grade students at the secondary stage, as a sample was taken from the second-grade students of the Conference Secondary School for Boys of (50) students.

A control group was selected.

And an experimental group to conduct the achievement test.

The researcher followed the experimental method, and used the achievement test (pre and post) as a tool to collect information and then analyze the data using the statistical program (the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS).The study revealed the following results:1.

There are no statistically significant differences at the significance level less than (0.05) and the probability value (0.00) between the scores of the control group and the experimental group scores in the pretest, which indicates parity.2.

There are no statistically significant differences at the significance level less than (0.05) and a probability value (0.00) between the scores of the control group in the pre-test and the control group scores in the post test, which indicates that it is not affected by any other factors.3.

There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance less than (0.05) and a probability value (0.00) between the experimental group scores in the pre-test and the experimental group scores in the post test in favor of the experimental group in the post test, which indicates the positive effect of using the developed teaching unit according to the use of the strategy Concept maps for the second grade of high school4.

There are statistically significant differences at the significance level less than (0.05) and a probability value of (0.00) between the scores of the control group and the experimental group scores in the post-test in favor of the experimental group.
