Abstract EN

The research aims to study and observe the concept of similarity as a branch of narrative semiotics and the research chose a procedural simple that was subject to the process of analysis and application, which is the collection of stories that carried the title of Telepathy, for the Iraqi storywriter called Haitham Behnam Burda.

The research included a bilateral action plan that consisted of two main parts.

The first is the theoretical approach, which dealt with tracing the concept of similarity in terms of the linguistic meaning in the Arabic dictionary first, passing through the Latin dictionary and ending with the linguistic concept of the term.

Then the research touched on defining the meaning of the semiotic similarity as a control criterion for the intangible units and the similar, harmonious and synonymous elements in the text.

As for the second part, it was devoted to study of the narrative procedural sample shown here and consisting of four stories(Telepathy/Epic/Last Picture/Faraways)
