Abstract EN

Real estate investment funds are among the newly emerging investment tools, very important, and rapidly spreading in the Arab countries.

They are characterized by their direct and indirect investment operations in real estate as their basis.

They are also characterized by their professional management and their multiple investments, which normally helps reduce the proportion of risks to which investments are exposed.

In addition, the wide scope of investment in real estate has attracted owners of small and large capitals alike.

It transformed savers in banks into investors, introduced small investors to the real estate market, brought dynamism to the real estate market, and helped solve many problems, such as unemployment and the stagnation of the real estate market.

This research defined the concept of real estate investment funds and identified their origin, classification, parties and the provisions of their original investment operations.

It also explained the decision issued by the UAE Financial Markets and Commodities Authority regarding investment controls in real estate investment funds.

The study reached several results, the most important of which are: finding a definition for real estate investment funds, and indicating the types of investment operations they may legally harbor
