Abstract EN

This study deals with the acquisition of the UAE nationality by children born to an Emirati mother and a foreign father in accordance with the amendments to the Nationality Law of 2017.

The paper is divided into two sections.

The first section addresses the special requirements and the second one analyzes the general requirements.

The study ends with many results, the most important of which are as follow: Some of the legal texts have been completely repeated.

They are mentioned in a paragraph and literally mentioned again in another one.

The texts concerning the naturalization of those children are inaccurate and need to be rewritten.

The study comes out with several recommendations, including removal of duplicate texts and rewording of some other legal texts, with clarification of the proposed rewritten texts and explanation of the reasons for each proposed.
