Abstract EN

This paper seeks to examine the implications of Arab food insecurity and its impact on national security.

The pape is based on the assumption that the Arab World has been witnessing a food-dependency situation, which is one of the main factors that lead to the destabilization of the Arab national security.

A wide range of methods are used: descriptive analytical, comparative, and statistical.

The most important outcomes and recommendation of the study are: rationalizing water use and disposing traditional irrigation ways; allocating adequate resources to support scientific research and technology development; making better use of available land; continuously coping with technological developments and employing them in agriculture’s irrigation projects; finally, re- linking planning, implementation and evaluation processes.
